Measure tabletop, add 12' for total overhang. Purchase material in desired width and length. Hem edges by sewing, using iron on seam tape or gluing with craft or hot glue.

It can be made from anything. Any material of your preferance, a runner can be made. Take 2 pieces of material and put them together right sides facing each other. Cut to size, pin, and fold under the edge about .5 an inch and sew. Leave a small area open. Turn right side. Hand sew the open spot.

It all depends if you want to sew it take your pieces of material cut them out sew them together and you will have it if you want to crochet it find a pattern you like buy the color string you want and sit down and crochet it.

If you are crocheting it find a pattern you like and just follow it but there are a million different ways to make a table runner. If you buy one pre-stamped just buy the stuff you need and coplete it. If you decide to crochet it they have some gorgeous patterns online free that you can print.
