How can I get a California child support case re-opened?

Go to the court where the case was heard. File a motion with the Clerk asking to be heard in the matter, which you will briefly explain. Go to the motion hour and get a hearing date. You must have a valid reason to request reconsideration.

You will have to petition the court and show due cause as to why the case should be reheard. A change in your circumstances is often all it takes to have the case reheard, ie your financial circumstances have changed. If you have lost employment, etc the Dept of Human Services may be able to assist you.
