Some groomers may offer the service using pet safe dyes. But to do it yourself I would recommend using kool-aid. Mix it with water in a spray bottle and spritz your dog generously. This can be messy so you don't want to let her on carpet or furniture. Brush the color through her fur and wait for it to dry.

If your dogs is a lighter color you can use unsweetened Kool-Aid or food coloring. It has to be something that he/she can ingest. Just mix the color you want with warm water and either spray her/him from head to tail or bath in the sink. When finished use towels that you don't mind getting coloring on, and rubbed dry.

The only safe way to do this is to contact a dog grooming salon and find out if they provide this service. As far as I know, dog fur dye is not available in stores and you should never use human hair dye!

Human hair dye can harm animals, and should not be used. If you would like to temporarily tint the hair pink, try using sugar-free Koolaid.

You could dye your chihuahua pink by using any pink cool-aid, or food coloring. When I was in highschool kids parents used this to change there hair color without hurting them or ruining there hair.

My chihuahua was born with a mohawk so I dyed her mohawk green for St. Patrick's Day. I just applied green food coloring to her fur, and it lasted for about a week. I'm not sure if this would work for dying the entire dog, but it didn't cause any harm.
