The Japanese red maple trees are characterized by it's red leaves that become lighter and lighter as summer progresses into fall, often giving them a pinkish color. The tricolor beech tree also has large leaves that can be purplish-pink in color.

Some pink-leaved trees include dogwoods and Japanese Maples, though there are other possibilities. The easiest method of tree identification is to determine the leaf shape for a given tree and then check at your local forestry service for a tree identification guide. If the leaves are oval-shaped, it may be a dogwood. Japanese maples would have lobed leaves (finger-like spreading).

One tree with pink leaves is the Redbud 'Lavender Twist' and another is the Malux X Purpurea 'Eleyi', known as the apple tree with flowers. You have these two trees.

Cherry trees have pink leaves. A very beautiful tree is a mix between a weeping willow and a cherry tree. When the bloom it looks like a pink weeping willow.

You probably (based on region) have either magnolias (southern warmer climate) or the black maple (norther cooler climate). Magnolias are definately pink, the black maple has reddish, sometimes pinkish colored leaves.

It is most likely a japanese maple, or a hydrangea. Both are beautiful and very easy to care for. They have nice pink leaves.
