What tips can you provide to me about my dyed red hair not fading?

I dye my hair red, I love the color but after a few weeks it is not as vibrant.

To prevent red hair from fading a good color treated hair shampoo is highly recommended. You can now buy these for red hair. Another good thing to do is wash hair in cold water. This will keep the hair shaft closed more and will help prevent color loss.

That's because after a few washings the dye begins to fade. Washing hair that has been dyed is kind of like washing a new pair of blue jeans. After a few washings they fade to a dull blue.

I dyed my hair once and a good way to keep it vibrant is to use a shampoo and conditioner that wont fade color treated hair. Pantene and Garnie have good products for color treated hair.

When hair is colored to any level of red a color infused shampoo should be used to maintain the depth of the red color. Also, hair products containing an SPF will help with fading, along with styling products which contain red pigments in them to further maintain the vibrancy of the original red color.
