Demonstrate to your husband how not yelling but communicating in a firm and certain voice can result in the desired effect. Don't yell at him about yelling at your child; this will not reduce the yelling in the household. And discuss with your child the need to act quickly when told.
Remind your husband that children raised with violence grow up to perpetuate the cycle. If you demonstrate loving behavior instead, your child will have a better chance to grow upwelladjusted.
