How can I convince my employer to offer tuition reimbursement?

If they are seeking individuals with higher certification or education, bring up the benefits of raising such individuals in house instead of hiring from the outside. Research any tax credits for employers who offer tuition reimbursement. Ask if they will reimburse the tuition upon proven completion of the classes, if they are not offering raises.

You'll need to convince the employer that it helps the company, rather than just being a gift. Write an outline of how the education will help you perform your job at this company better.
