First off, you have to have plans for an easier and less painful construction. But don't worry, it is possible to find free plans on-line. When you have that you'd need some treated wood and plywood for the construction, then your favorite drill machine alongside a large space to build and place the halfpipe. Don't forget the coping rails.

The basic process involves building a frame, cutting supports, laying down plywood, installing coping, and putting down your surface material.

Go to a hardware store and ask someone to sell you the best wood for a half pipe. Get a hammer and nails and start putting the wood together.
