Help! My HP computer tower goes off but the blue light stays on. What should I do?

Make sure that your computer is not in sleep mode. One should also check to see if the monitor is powered on, and make sure that all of the monitor connections. Test the computer with another monitor to see if the problem lies within the video card or the monitor.

Problably your pc is only on stand by or frezzing. Try to click with mouse or on keypad. Check the saving energy profile

first press the switch off button for few seconds then your whole set will be down, then open your tower and find out the ram, because of humidity there may be some problem in ram slot, pull the ram and wipe the ram and replace the ram then switch on your system

If striking any key on your keyboard "awakens" your computer then it's clear that your machine or tyour monitor have a power setting that put's it to sleep or hibernates after a period of inactivity. Go to control panel and look for Power Settings. Look for PC hiberate/sleep mode and change those settings.

Completely unplug the PC for at least 20 seconds. Plug it back in and power on. If it does the same thing you may have a power supply issue and it needs to be looked at.

That's a normal thing for the computer to do. The light is just on to say that the computer is plugged in.
