Throughout history many people have had success with small scale farming. In the present economic climate, not only can it put food on your own table, but it can also be a side business. Sales outlets would include roadside stands, farmers markets and local grocers.

Plan it carefully, you can make some money. But not enough to run a household. Money makers, potatoes, garlic, lettuce, tomatoes, beans, eggplant. Others take up too much room.

Anyone can raise vegetables in their garden and sell it to neighbors or at farmer's markets. Growing far more produce than a standard sized yard decreases the profit margin unless you have a high margin crop, of which there are few.

There has been many people, especially in poorer states have some success with small scale farming. It works best if there is a farmers market to participate in to help profit form your crops.

Farming is a very very good business and there are chances of your getting 100% success if you are devoted towards the same. No matter even if the same is on a small scale. You must try and you would make money and go to larger dizzy heights with devotion.
