Does Selsun Blue work on dandruff?

Selsun Blue will work on dandruff, if that is what you actually have. Dandruff is a yellow, waxy fungus. White flakes are commonly caused by dry scalp, which will be worsened by Selsun Blue due to the fact that it is intended to dry up the fungus.

Yes, selsun blue should work on dandruff. If it does not you can always get a stronger prescription from your doctor.

Selsun Blue is a high grade dandruff shampoo and I find that it works pretty well. Head & Shoulder's has a shampoo for severe dandruff as well.

Years ago I had severe eczema on my scalp, which caused dandruff. Selsun Blue was the ONLY shampoo that took care of that problem. Also, avoid putting conditioner on the scalp, just apply to the ends of your hair. Make sure you rinse well, shampoo often and stay away from styling gels or hairsprays if you can.

I personally have had good results with Selsun Blue, but not everything works for everyone. If Selsun Blue doesn't work for you, try Neutrogena's T-Gel.

I used Selsun Blue just once and it made my condition much much worse. It got worse than it had ever been.

Selsun Blue is supposed to work on dandruff. There are other options though. Try some medicated shampoo that is for psorisis, they should help. If head and shoulders doesnt work selsun blue may not either. You can get your doctor to prescribe you something if no over the counter products work.

My child had very bad dandruff and I found that Selsun Blue only works some of the time but it was not very affective on her severe case. I finally had to take her to the doctor for a prescription.

It typically works pretty well on dandruff. You can also try Neutrogena T-Gel. If nothing seems to work, ask your doctor if they can recommend something for you.
