Does the same kind of dandruff control work for everyone or does it vary, depending on the condition?

Nothing seems to work for me.

What may seem like dandruff, may not be dandruff at all. There are all type of skin or scalp conditions that have dandruff like symptoms; flakes, itchy scalp, etc. If you have tried multiple dandruff products with no success, it may be time to visit a dermatologist to see if you have something else such as seborrhea.

It definitely depends on the condition. What remedies have you tried? If you have tried shampoo, eating right, and reducing stress, it might be time to pay a visit to your doctor.

Most people get relief from very similar substances in dandruff control products. That is why they are so interchangeable and popular. However if your dandruff is extreme you might want to consult a dermatologist.

Because everyone's dandruff condition is different, not all dandruff treatments will work the same. If you've tried various dandruff shampoos from the drugstore but they're not working, you should consider seeing a dermatologist and ask if there is a stronger medication you can take for your dandruff. Also ask some relatives who have been successful in managing their dandruff.
