I guess it's good that you are at least assuming God exists. That's a good start. Not a big bible-thumper, but I believe the entire new-testament = God is love.

For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotton Son to save us-John 3:16. This scripture speaks volume to me because I sometimes think that God doesn't care for me, but it is a lie, a lie that if we believe it will seperate us from Him. Absolutely nothing can seperate us from the love of God.
