Commercial washes (even those from a vet) often have dangerous chemicals which are then consumed by your pet, trying to lick them off. I find that Dawn (plain) absolutely destroys fleas and really washes out. Ticks cannot be shampooed away. They need removing one at a time.
Most of the time, yes. However, do not use this on a puppy. The trick to get rid of fleas on puppies is to bathe them in Dawn dish detergent. I have confirmed this from the vet for my own puppy.
The shampoos will normally only kill the adult fleas. It will not kill the eggs. You will also need to be concerned about the fleas in your living area.
Flea and tick shampoo works but I guess it depends on what you want it to work for? If you want it to get rid of them then yes but you need to repeat it as well.
