Does black currant juice taste like any other fruit juice?

It tastes like grape juice concentrate. Try boiling down, or reducing grape juice until it turns into a thick syrup.

Black Current Juice has its own unique taste but if you are in a pinch, you can find some concentrate or syrup or water down some red current jelly, not quite sure how watering down the jelly will work but it might. You also perhaps could subsitute elderberry for it but then add sugar to taste.
