Do lipsticks contain lead?

I believe that most of lipsticks contain lead. A lot of famous brands like Lancome, Christian Dior, Red Earth, and Chanel contain lead. And What I believe in is that the more lead lipsticks contain the more risk of causing diseases like Cancer.

An email ran warning women about lead content of their lipsticks from high-end cosmetics lines. After FDA testing, lead was found in lipsticks however, not enough to cause a concern.

I think some can. Why not e-mail the manufacturer or call their 800 customer service lines to find out? Also, some might have packaging with labels.

I do not believe that lipstick can contain lead. There is so much of an effort to remove lead paint from homes and lead from children's toys that I would find it very hard to believe that lead would be allowed in lipstick. Lead must be against any government regulations.

Yes, most expensive lipstick contains very highl evels of lead so don't buy expensive ones. Try to buy the more inexpensive and not so cheap brands because they mostly have safer ingredients.
