If they are kept in a clean/large enough environment, they might never need a bath - apart from the occasional butt-cleaning, perhaps. If they do get a bit dirty, you will need to track down a piggy-safe shampoo (try gorgeous guineas). Bathe them in warm, shallow water and make sure not to get it into their ears/eyes. Dry carefully.

Keep your guinea pig cage clean by removing dirty bedding once a week and wiping out the cage bottom. Add fresh bedding once cage is dry. Guinea pigs can groom them selves but a good daily brushing will keep their coats clean and tangle free, especially for long haired guinea pigs.

Don't bathe unless covered in urine from dirty bedding. Bathe in sink/tub in about 2" warm water. Do not leave unattended. Use small animal shampoo to clean; do not wash the face. Make sure no water gets in the ears. After rinsing, towel-dry. You can use a hairdryer on low, with your hand as a temperature gauge.

Clean the cage daily, as with the food and water. When it comes to bathing the actual guinea pig, use luke warm water and don't fully submerge. Gently wash with a rag with a gentle soap, if any. Be sure to fully dry the animal, as any breeze or chill can cause a cold. Gently pat dry with towel.
