Guinea pigs almost never give birth during daytime hours, they prefer cooler temps and quiet. Your guinea will not move more than absolutely necessary and will not make any noises, as apposed to a usual constant chittering. DO NOT HANDLE the pups for 3 to 5 days, nursing for at least 3 weeks.
you say do not handle the pups! rubbish, hold them strait away to get that bond!! im a breeder and have had many litters and i hold them when they have been cleaned! add a comment

You can handle them right after birth. Guinea pigs do NOT get the babies! You just dont want to give them a bath or keep them away for to long. I am a guinea pig owner! One of mine gave birth!!! add a comment
