Hamsters themselves have very little odor, however their cage may begin to smell if their bedding is not replaced frequently. Because they use the bathroom in the bedding, it will obtain an odor if left un-changed. Many types of bedding are available, most made from cedar which will reduce odors.

once a month they are in heat and leave a smell. if your hamster has diarrhea IMMEDIATELY get them Batril and feed them cabbage. this is called wet tail and hamsters can die with in a week from it.

Hamsters can smell pretty bad. If you take percautionary measures the hamster will not smell as bad. They make certain beddings that help to reduce the odor in your pets urine and feces. Hamsters can smell bad if you don't change their bedding but other wise they don't smell to bad! :)

I used to have a hamster that we kept in a glass unit. It did smell bad if after placing its hay and leaving it too long.

I've owned a number of hamsters, and they don't smell bad. They can leave a smelly mess in their cage if you don't keep it clean.

hamsters dont smell all bad but only smell when it leaves its dropins on the floor XD lol

Hello i am from a rspc in the uk i have done some work on hamsters. Hamsters do not smell they do if they do it on the ground. If you teach it in a tin or a pot it want smell a lot.
