It could. Pale gums are a symptom of low blood in a dog whether that be from anemia or poisoning or too many fleas. See your local vet.

Pale gums is a sign of poisoning along with nosebleeds and blood in stool or urine. Many human foods are guilty of poisoning dogs. You shouldn't give a dog chocolate, raisins, grapes and onions. It doesn't take much of the wrong kind of food to potentially kill a dog. Dogs who show signs of poisoning need immediate vet care.
