I need to know what a pale tongue means in a canine.

A white tongue can mean a few different things. First off it can mean that the dog is dehydrated. Another possibility is that the dog may be anemic.

A pale tongue means poor blood circulation. Your dog could have anemia or even a heart condition. I would take it to the vet if other symptoms occur as well.
