Pale gums in dog or cat can be serious. For dogs it could mean illness such as Parvo virus. Or it could also mean internal bleeding.

Some dogs have different colored gums than others, but if this symptom is something new then the dog should be looked at by a vet. If the dog was born with pale gums and has lived this way for years then it shouldn't be anything to worry about.

That usually means the dog is very dehydrated. You should get the dog into the vet and have it checked out.
