Can you take your own passport photo?

The US State Department's Guidelines for High Quality Photographs does not require that any specific person take the photos, but they do require that you follow a few guidelines for backgrounds, sizing, paper, poses, and that the picture properly represents you. This includes full face, centered, plain or off-white background, and no shadows. Face position is also important.

Yes we can take our own passport size photo. The matter is only in editing and printing the photo. That should be correctly done. Thats enough.

there i was waiting in line for ever, and took out my iphone. got my pal to snap a pic on to the white wall with the online photo tool passportica -they even delivered it to me a two days later! they had it all there - no hassle.
