Well it depends, you do not say when you stopped. If it was recent you may be able to resume. Also you may want to consider calling a hotline like le leche, there is a pill that can help induce milk production that is sometimes given to adopting parents who want to breastfeed.

For most women they will stop producing milk within three months after stopping breastfeeding. The only way to know for sure is to try it.

Yes! Even adoptive mothers have breastfed. Eat well, drink lots of water and start pumping when he is nursing the other side, when he is not nursing... Offer the breast when he's hungry enough to take it. Check with the doctor, maybe introducing solid food allows cutting back on formula to make the breast a tastier option for baby.

To restart breast feeding the baby must accept the breast. The breast must be stimulated by baby or a pump and a proper diet will help mom create milk.

It most likely depend on how long ago you stopped. I have not had good luck with restarting even when it has only been a couple of days, but I know others who have been able to. Talk to your doctor or a breastfeeding consultant they will be able to help you with your options.

Fenugreek (supplement) will aid in milk production. Pump a lot at first, always offer breast before bottle once milk starts to return.

It can happen. You have to be committed to putting child to breast as often as possible to stimulate production again.

It depends on how long it has been since you stopped. If it has only been a few days or perhaps weeks, you might still have a small amount of milk remaining which will increase if you resume regular feedings.
