You can not put everything in your wife's name after a judgment to avoid collection but you may be able to do so before legal action is filed.

Laws concerning this vary by state, but this generally will not work. Usually, if an asset is transferred to avoid a judgment, the transfer is invalid. Also, in many states, your wife is also responsible for any judgment against you.
