If your password is correct try updating your computer wireless driver in control panel, system properties, device manager, select your wirless internet and select update driver. Or change router settings

What you need to do is clear your preferred networks and add your network again. Also there is usually a setting in your modem that allows you to strengthen the signal. If a DSL modem, changing the channel from 6 to 11 works wonderfully and vice versa.

There is no secure connection unless you are encrypted to the internet or the servers that you are connected to. Example by the email page that is secure. And make sure you have the anti virus, personal firewall, etc enable on you pc/laptop.

is a wifi connection the you need the password you need to connect to a unlocked/unsecured access point

my laptop would not connect when i protected my network, does anyone know whats going on with it? i dont want to leave my network unsecured because i live in.
