You can give an itunes gift card, a starbucks card, or an american express gift card. You can make a 'kit' of things they will forget to buy, like a can opener, knives, bowls, corkscrew. You can give them a netflix account or gamefly account. You can also give a school sweatsshirt.

The one gift which graduates always enjoy is money.If they go on to College it comes in handy to buy books. Another favorite gift is a gift certificate to a Mall, or perhaps restaurant gift certificates.

For a graduate who is going to college you could get a gift card for a bookstore that is in the town where he is going to college for example a Barnes and Noble. An Amazon gift card would also be a good choice.

Clothes always make great graduation gifts. So do books, movies, cd's, and anything else that they could take with them to college.
