Here are some easy and cheap crafty things I gave out as Christmas gifts one year: hemp jewelry (easy and fun to make! You can get instructions online), hand-sewn items (like pillows), hand-painted items (using wooden items work best! I did kleenex boxes, picture frames and recipe boxes), and pot holders!

Buy cheap glass ornaments and decorate them tailored to the receivers likes or hobbies. Or put together the ingredients for a brownie or hot cocoa recipe into a decorated jar.
