What are some good graduation gifts for a guy?

If you were to ask many guys what their ideal graduation gift would be, most would probably answer cash or a Visa gift card. Other gifts guys may like would be something in preparation for college such as a "Kindle", a netbook computer, or a deposit to their college fund.

The best graduation gift is money because he can buy something he needs or use it towards college. Supplies for his dorm is another good idea.

I would buy a suitcase for a grauation gift especially if he is leaving for college. A pen, shoes, sunglasses, laptop, car and cologne if he is a older graduate.

Any gift that will recognize or reinforce independence will make a good gift. Items for his car or motorcycle or a a membership in a club are always good.

As someone who is awaiting their graduation ceremony and graduation gifts I can say the one thing I want most is a Texas Mickey of my favorite alcohol! School and studying has been long and hard, we need to relax and party. On that note, a vacation would be good too!

Monograms are always good, and luggage, even small pieces, is a great place for them. Nice school memorabilia is great. A good Swiss Army knife or Leatherman combination tool is super. Otherwise, note his interests and get him something based on them.

Going off to College how about a Gift Certificate for things they are going to need for the dorm or new apartment.
