Individuals with an RE4 are not eligible for re-enlistment. RE1, RE2 and RE3 can re-enlist with various requirements or restrictions, but RE4 cannot.

A code of RE 4, does not allow you to re enlist in any branch of the military. Once discharde with a code other then RE 1 you will not be allowed to enter any branch.

RE4 is generally NOT waiverable by recruitment. u.S. military reenlistment or reentry code "RE4" means "not recommended for reenlistment" due to "misconduct" (addictions, et cetera). You can apply or petition to have your DD214 (seperation from service) records reviewed and possibly updated; DD214 review board(s) can make DD214 records "worse".

Those who are discharged with an RE4 are disqualified from re-enlistment in any branch of the military. A recruiter can give you more details.
