There is really no need to so I would not do it. Generally speaking babies should be about 6 months old before giving them anythinkg other than breast milk or formula. Applesauce should wait until 6 months. The baby is getting all he or she needs at 4 months from milk. There is no need to rush it.

I do not think it is recommended to give applesauce or any other fruit or vegetable to a four month old. Generally around four months is the time that solid food is started. It is usually started with rice and oatmeal cereal and then slowly introduce fruits and vegetables after cereal has been established.

Yes you can. Baby food applesauce is better to use then the regular kind. There are more of the vitamins that babies need in the baby food kind like gerber or heinz. The regular applesauce off the grocery shelf has to much sugar in it that baby doesn't need.

Most pediatricians state not to give solids to a baby until they are six months old. If the child is sitting upright on their own and grabbing food, let them have rice cereal or chopped up bananas. Apple sauce is bad because it has so much fiber it can be more fiber than a baby's system can handle.
