Braxton-Hicks contractions can stop and real labor begin. Where it will seem like they seamlessly become more strong. Medically they are different. Real labor is a positive feedback loop, where Braxton-Hicks is just muscles getting ready for labor. If the contractions are regular and seem to be getting closer together they are true labor.

No. Braxton-Hicks contractions and labor contractions are two completely different mechanisms. Braxton-Hicks contractions help your uterus prepare for the larger contractions during labor. So, once contraction won't turn into the other. However, it is often difficult for a women to tell which she is experinencing.

Although Braxton-Hicks contractions are sometimes called pre-labor contractions, they cannot lead to labor or real contractions. Usually Braxton-Hicks contractions only occur when the mother brushes her hand against the protruding belly and notice it is tightened.
