Your power steering is out. Check your powersteering fluid and make sure it's full. If your ford is making or made grinding noises as you turn the wheel, your powersteering is going bad and needs to be repaired.

It sounds like the power steering pump is going on in your Ford. You may want to check the power steering fluid and see if it is low. If it is then add some fluid to see if that fixes the problem. If that does not correct it then you will need to take it to the shop.

If you are having trouble turning the wheel on your Ford the first thing I would check is the power steering fluid. Look at the color, if it is red or clear its ok, but if it is any other color its time for a change. If the resivoir is full the power steering pump might be out.
