Bamboo plants are prone to a few different insect infestations. A couple of the species have waxy coatings, therefore, using systematic insecticides is recommended. Drenching the roots will enable the plant to "draw" the insecticide up, allowing the insects to feast on the bamboo. Coffee
grounds around plant works wonders!
