Parents who are disabled and received support from Social Security can apply for a benefit for the children as well. There is no specific program, however, that gives large amounts of money to the children of disabled parents. When the kids apply school after high school, they will likely be eligible for student financial aid based on the parents' income.

There are many different government grants available to children with disable parents. Many of these grants apply to children whose parents were police officers or fire fighters, but there are also general grants available. There are also educations funds available to those whose parents are disabled. These grants help children whose parents are disabled physically or by illness.

The extent of the parent's disablement would determine if they could adopt or not. A mentally disabled parent couldn't adopt where as a one handed parent could do so.

There are available grants for police officers that were 90 percent disabled or were killed while performing the duties of a police officer. In the state of Illinois, the grant is available for their children, for up to 12 quarters or 8 semesters of college.

The disabled parents canot grants for children. Because they are not able to do their own work. Then how can they manage the children? In my opinion it is not possible.
