A good way to go about getting a dog for autistic children is to find a senior dog rescue in your area that has an older dog that is used to kids, this way it won't be an excitable puppy, but will be a good therapy tool for your kids.

A schnoodle is a mix of schnauzer and poodle right? Both of those breeds can be nippy. You might look for a breed that's more laid back and cuddly.

Yes they are generally a good dog for children, shih tzu, poodles, Yorki's and all the smaller dogs love children so you have alot of choices to go for.

I highly recommend you get a Golden Retriever. They are the best family dogs out there. They are EXCELLENT with children and they will protect their family from harm. Schnauzers can be mean. Poodles are good. So you don't know what temperament a Schnoodle will have.
