Snooker balls are not the same as pool balls. The main difference between the two is that snooker balls are smaller than regular pool balls. This is because snooker is played on a smaller table.

No, there are a total of 21 balls in snooker, 15 red balls and 6 solid balls, each a different color. Whereas, there are 15 balls in a regular game of pool, 7 solid, 7 striped and 1 black which represents the eight ball. Snooker balls are also smaller.
