Shore excursions are not included in the cruise price. You can tour cruise ports on your own for free. Organized shore excursions are an additional cost.

Depending on your cruise, most Royal Caribbean cruises dock somewhere and thus offer a shore excursion. It is optional for you as to whether or not you choose to leave the boat and go ashore or stay put on the ship.

No. Shore excursions always cost extra for a cruize, regardless of the cruize line. However, that does not mean you can't leave the boat and explore on your own. You can research the ports and you may find doing your own thing more cost effective.

Most excursions you have to pay extra for. Some are included, the only way to know for sure is to ask, or to buy a package that includes excursions.
