Ticks are dangerous to dogs as blood sucking parasites that can cause infections, and also because some carry Lyme Disease. Infections and the Lyme virus can cause serious health problems.

All ticks carry some level of danger. From infection to lyme disease, a blood test is the best way to protect your pet.

Chiggers are often mistaken for red ticks. I doubt it was actually ticks that you found, although I can't be sure, but these types of insects wouldn't be harmful.

Ticks are painful and uncomfortable but not dangerous. Be carefull in removing them, in the pincers get stuck in they could cause an infection.

What ticks are the dealiest? Because when i walk my dog he usually gets at least two-three ticks and since hes a small dog it gets me worried.
