What is this red fungus growing in my lawn?

is it dangerous?

It's called Red Thread and caused by the fungus Laetisaria fuciformis. Fertilizing the lawn will help it recover, IT could also be A rust fungus it also cause's red growth's.

Its probably red thread. It happens when there is high humidity and lots of rain. It it not dangerous to you or your plants and should go away on its own.
