Are hoop nose rings dangerous?

Hoop style nose rings are not DANGEROUS, exactly. For the most part, they stay put and don't cause any problems. However, there is always the possibility that they could get caught on something (like a hairbrush, for example) and that could end extremely badly and damage your nose. I would only wear the hoop for certain occasions.

My sister wears one and she doesn't seem to have a problem with it. Like anything else you will just have to be careful with it. I would imagine that a nose ring of any kind would get caught on things if you are not careful with it. I think it would be more about what you are looking for.
