No, they are easy to clean, but what you must be careful with is that if you wash them too often, the color will start to wear off. You should use a conditioner especially made for black items.

Black isn't necissarily a bad idea. The problems will be fading in the wash and showing lint. If you get black sheets plan on washing them on cool only and drying on perma press. Whatever you do, don't wash them with anything light, as the fibers will show up white!
