Will you lose strength if you stop lifting weights?

I life weights and want to know if I stop will I get weaker.

It's called regression and you will usually lose strength at about half the speed of gaining it. After two weeks off you will start to notice a reduction in strength.

Yes, you will slowly loose some strength, although it takes time. You may want to just keep a moderate fitness plan that can help retain your strength while you take some time off.

It depends on how long you stop for. That, and everybody is different. However, muscle does have memory, so it should be pretty easy to pick the strength back up again (but, everybody is different). If only off for about three months or less, I would say yes. If more than a year say, you will be much weaker.
