Usually if you have a referral for an advanced case medicaid will pay for braces. You have to get pre authorization from medicaid.

The only way to know for sure is to call Medicaid. Alot of times if you ask the ordering facility to check they will or help you to contact the approptiate area. Alot of facilities now have a deparment that can answer your question quickly by just giving them your diagnosis and Medicaid numbers.

Medicaid will pay for braces in some cases but not others. It depends on your situation. Most children get braces and may of them do not have medicaid therefore they will not receive compensation for their braces. may health care companies say this is a cosmetic procedure and can be done without.
