Why would you need an electric mug warmer?

People like me find them very handy. In a busy work environment, for instance, one can be distracted by phone calls, or other issues and find that that hot coffee is now cold. Mug warmers at least keep it warm enough to still enjoy.

I guess you'd need one if you were slow at drinking your hot beverage. However, most of the time the mug does not cool down before you drink your coffee, tea or other hot beverage.
