You don't say what age the baby is, which may make a difference. However, all people come to a brief waking state during sleep, and fall back to sleep without realizing they ever woke up. It is possible that you hear your baby at this stage, and wake her the rest of the way when you go in to her.

It may be that your baby is too young to sleep through the night (under 4 months or so), or she may be teething.

Babies have their own schedule. Enjoy the precious time with them. They will sleep and eat when their bodies need it.
