Why is the evaporator coil dripping onto the floor?

This problem is usually caused by an under charged system , or a restriction in the refrigerant coling system this causes the evaporator coil an condensation to freeze up like ice on the coil , when the ice melts it fills up a drip pan an overflows to the ground

Condensation forms on the coil, it's normal, but there should be a drain system that has a pan and drains to the outside through pvc or tubing. If it's leaking that means it's either clogged or the unit is tilted and pouring out.
