The most cause of slow urine flow that I know is kidney-related diseases like kidney stones and kidney failure. It may also be caused by infection in the urinary tract. Or it may just be that you don't drink sufficient amounts of water a day vis-a-vis the amount of sweating you do.

If there isn't any pain or itching causing the slowness, it's possible the muscles that cause the contraction of the bladder have weakened. This can happen due to age, pregnancy and certain medications.

The speed in which a person urinates can be dependent upon the amount of urine a person has in their bladder. The more there is, the quicker it will flow.
