Why is my top loading washer leaking at the bottom?

It just started leaking and I can't figure out why.

The cause of the leak could be just a tiny hole somewhere on the tank. Also, check all the rubber pipes and gaskets and check at the pump.

The most common reason for this happening is that your water pump has cracked or the hose connected to the pump has become disconnected. Usually u can remove the front panel of the washer by just a four screws. From there u can run the machine empty and see where the water is coming from.

First I would make sure that the machine is level. Then I would check all the hoses to the machine and be sure one has not become loose. Make sure that the water level is where it is suppose to be. Also check your owners manual for any troubleshooting problems.

Check to make sure the drain hose is not disconneted or has a hole in it. The hose is located in the back.

Check your hoses first. Another suggestion, but not as cheap is that your pump may be leaking. After a number of years, they do wear out and need to be replaced. If you are able, take the pannel off that can be removed to see if you can locate the problem.

Well, if its leaking at the bottom, it means that you probably don't have your pipes connected to it properly. Have someone come in and look at these pipes for you and put them together. Otherwise it will keep leaking and it will get very frustrating for you to clean up.
