Do you prefer a top loading washer?

It's easier to see what you are doing in a top loading washer. As a fairly tall person, I wouldn't consider a front loading machine. Then there is the question of having enough space to open the door.

The front loading washer is my preference. They take up less space and use less water so they are great if you have small space to laundry in. I also feel like my front loading machine is quieter. The drawback is that can develop a musty smell that is hard to get rid of.

You will get more for your money with a top loading washer, but a front loader is far more efficient. You will use less detergent and water and it is far easier on your clothes. They do make top loaders that are very similar in function to a front loader as well.

From personal choice I prefer the side loading machines. The reason being is I can build the shelves above the washer closer to the top of the machine and that gives more storage space above the washer and dryer. With top loading ones you have to leave a lot of sapce above them to load and unload.
